About CanKids KidsCan

CanKids KidsCan is a national NGO working since 2004 to improve survival and care for children with cancer in India. The organization operates across 141 hospital support units and works at grassroots to national level to ensure access to treatment, financial protection, and holistic support for children ( 19 years).

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior communications leader to head CEPAA (Communication, Education, Public Awareness & Advocacy). The role will drive national-level communication strategy, advocacy, brand building, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen CanKids mission and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead communication, advocacy, and public awareness strategy for the organization
- Drive national campaigns on childhood cancer awareness and rights
- Manage media relations, press communication, and digital platforms




- Develop advocacy materials including policy briefs and impact stories
- Build strong relationships with government, media, hospitals, and partners
- Strengthen brand visibility and reputation across platforms
- Lead internal communication and mentor the communications team

Requirements

- Masters degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
- 10-15 years of experience in communications, media, PR, or advocacy (NGO/healthcare preferred)
- Solid experience in storytelling, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in digital media and campaign management
