We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of cloud-native, scalable solutions on AWS.

This role combines strong technical leadership with hands-on engineering, requiring ownership of architecture, development standards, delivery execution, and mentoring of engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building distributed systems, microservices, serverless applications, APIs, and cloud-native integrations while coordinating with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead backend architecture, solution design, and development activities for enterprise-scale applications.
- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, security standards, and design patterns.
- Drive technical decisions and guide development teams through architecture reviews and design discussions.
- Mentor and coach mid-level engineers.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality and performance standards.





Solution Development
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services.
- Build scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop backend services using Python, Node. js, or Java.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

AWS Cloud Engineering
- Design and implement solutions leveraging:
- AWS Lambda
- API Gateway
- S3, DynamoDB,
- RDS/Aurora
- SQS/SNS
- EventBridge,
- ECS/Fargate,
- Step Functions
- CloudWatch,
- Secrets Manager,
- IAM

- Drive serverless and container-based architecture adoption where appropriate.
- Partner with DevSecOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.

Integration Data Management
- Design integration patterns using APIs, event-driven mechanisms, and middleware solutions.
- Build and optimize integrations across enterprise applications and external platforms.
- Support data persistence, data governance, monitoring, and operational excellence.

DevOps Engineering
- Terraform / CloudFormation
- Docker
- Kubernetes (preferred)

Operational Excellence
- Establish observability through logging, monitoring, alerting, and tracing.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Drive automation of operational tasks and platform improvements.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of AWS cloud development experience.
- 3+ years leading technical teams or
- Experience delivering enterprise applications in Agile environments as well as experience working on major development initiatives.

Desirable Experience
- Prior experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related industry.
- Experience and familiarity with the commercial data within the Pharma industry
- Have a robust commitment to a career in technology with a passion for healthcare
- Experience using any of industry standard Agile tooling suites (e.g., Jira), and working knowledge in requirement grooming sessions, Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospective, tasks creation, and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with a broad matrix team and ability to influence others and achieve results.
