Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and API Automation to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and API applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation testing, CI/CD integration, SQL, and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks using Java.
- Develop and execute UI automation scripts using Selenium (Playwright experience is an added advantage).
- Create and maintain API automation scripts using Rest Assured.
- Perform manual testing of web applications and REST APIs when required.
- Validate API functionality, authentication, response data, and business logic.
- Write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation and test data management.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Perform defect analysis, root cause investigation, and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning,



estimation, test execution, and retrospectives.
- Follow Git best practices, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Java with solid knowledge of OOP concepts, design patterns, and automation framework development.
- Hands-on experience in Selenium for UI automation.
- Strong experience in Rest Assured for API automation.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, API Keys), and API validation.
- Experience in manual testing of Web UI and APIs.
- Strong SQL Server knowledge, including complex queries, joins, and data validation.
- Experience with Git and cooperative development practices.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and Azure DevOps for CI/CD integration.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Playwright for UI automation.
- Knowledge of TypeScript or Python.
- Exposure to AI-assisted test automation, intelligent test generation, self-healing frameworks, and automation optimization.
