SAP Data Migration Lead

Key responsibilities

Technical Leadership
Define end-to-end SAP Data Migration strategies, methodologies, and governance frameworks.
Provide expert guidance on migration approaches for SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP to SAP transformations.
Advise customers on data quality, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
Ensure proposed solutions align with SAP best practices and project delivery standards.
Leadership & Delivery Support
Mentor and guide technical teams during pre-sales and transition to delivery.
Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure seamless knowledge transfer after project award.
Support continuous improvement by contributing to reusable assets, accelerators, and best practices.
Provide leadership in managing cross-functional teams and ensuring high-quality solution delivery.
Pre-Sales & Solutioning
Engage with prospective clients to understand their business requirements, data migration challenges, and transformation objectives.
Lead discovery workshops to assess customer landscapes and define migration strategies.
Conduct compelling product demonstrations, solution presentations, and proof-of-concepts showcasing SAP Data Migration capabilities.
Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and Solution Architecture teams to develop winning proposals, effort estimates, solution approaches, and commercial responses.
Design scalable and cost-effective SAP Data Migration solutions aligned with customer requirements and organizational capabilities.
Act as a trusted advisor to customers by providing strategic recommendations on SAP Data Migration best practices and transformation roadmaps.




Support RFP/RFI responses and participate in customer presentations, workshops, and executive discussions.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in SAP Data Migration.
Recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP Data Migration.
Experience in 3 4 full lifecycle end-to-end SAP Data Migration implementations.
Minimum 2 successful SAP Data Migration projects involving either:
Non-SAP to SAP migration, or SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration, preferably in a Lead role.
Strong expertise in SAP Data Migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Proven experience in customer-facing pre-sales, solution consulting, and proposal development.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated leadership in managing delivery teams and driving successful project outcomes.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
Knowledge of SAP BODS, SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, SAP Information Steward, LSMW,IDOCs or other SAP data migration tools.
Experience in data governance, data quality, reconciliation, and master data management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and estimation skills.




Ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Consulting, and Delivery teams.
