Position: Lead Gen AI Engineer

Location: Bengaluru

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week)

Excellent opportunity to join Ascendion AI-CoE team and work with the best leaders. We are looking for Lead GenAI Engineers to drive the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the architecture and development of Generative AI solutions using LLMs (OpenAI, open-source models, etc.)
- Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
- Build and orchestrate AI agents / agentic workflows for complex task automation
- Develop scalable backend systems using Python (FastAPI, Flask, etc.)
- Integrate LLMs with enterprise systems via APIs and microservices
- Optimize prompt engineering, context handling, and response quality




- Fine-tune and evaluate models for domain-specific use cases
- Deploy and manage AI applications on AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, Bedrock, etc.)

Required Skills:

- Hands-on experience in software engineering / backend development, Generative AI / LLM-based applications
- Strong proficiency in Python
- LLM frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex
- Vector databases: Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate
- RAG architectures and semantic search
- Experience building AI agents / multi-agent systems
- Robust understanding of: Prompt engineering, Tokenization, embeddings, model evaluation
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
