Purpose/Objective

To lead and manage all mining operations in a safe, sustainable, and productive manner while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, production targets, quality parameters, cost objectives, and environmental standards in a metal mining operation.

Key Responsibilities of Role

a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Key Responsibilities Mining Operations - Plan, organize, and supervise day-to-day mining activities. - Ensure achievement of monthly and annual ore production targets. - Monitor drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, hauling, and ore dispatch operations. - Optimize mine productivity through effective utilization of manpower and equipment. - Ensure proper mine development and production sequencing as per approved mine plan. Safety & Statutory Compliance - Act as the statutory Mines Manager under applicable mining regulations. - Ensure compliance with DGMS, Mines Act, MMR, and other statutory requirements. - Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments. - Implement safety management systems and promote a zero-harm culture. - Investigate accidents and implement corrective and preventive actions. Mine Planning & Development - Coordinate with geology and mine planning teams for reserve estimation and production planning. - Monitor mine development activities and adherence to approved mining plans.



- Review short-term and long-term mine schedules. - Ensure optimum mine design and pit slope stability. Equipment & Resource Management - Ensure availability and productive utilization of HEMM. - Monitor equipment productivity, maintenance schedules, and operational efficiency. - Control mining costs and resource consumption. Team Management - Lead and develop mining engineers, supervisors, contractors, and operators. - Conduct performance reviews and competency development initiatives. - Ensure effective manpower deployment and succession planning. Environmental Management - Ensure compliance with environmental clearances and statutory norms. - Monitor waste management, water conservation, dust suppression, and rehabilitation activities. - Promote sustainable mining practices. Stakeholder Management - Coordinate with DGMS officials, government authorities, local administration, and contractors. - Support statutory inspections and audits. - Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications: B. Tech in mining. Eperience: 8-10 years of experience in mining. First Class Manager's Certificate of Competency (Metal Mine) issued by DGMS (Mandatory)
