Job Description

We are seeking a competent and committed Senior Resident in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for a tertiary care teaching hospital. The role involves clinical care, emergency management, academic duties, and assisting faculty in training undergraduate students.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal care of patients.
- Handle labour room, emergency obstetrics, and high-risk pregnancy cases.
- Perform/assist in normal deliveries, C-sections, and basic gynecological procedures.
- Manage OPD, ward rounds, and duty roster as assigned.
- Assist consultants in surgeries and critical care cases.
- Maintain case records, discharge summaries,



and medicolegal documentation.
- Participate in academic teaching of MBBS students and interns.
- Attend departmental meetings, audits, and case discussions.

Required Qualification

- MD/DNB/MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (NMC recognized).
- Valid State Medical Council / NMC registration.

Experience

- Preferably 0–3 years post-PG experience (fresh candidates may apply as per institutional policy).

Skills

- Strong clinical and decision-making ability
- Emergency obstetric care skills
- Valuable communication with patients and team members
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts
