Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor light structure mill equipment (rolling mills, cutting machines, forming lines).
- Perform setup, calibration, and adjustments of machinery for different product specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to reduce production downtime.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on mill equipment.
- Ensure product quality meets specifications and standards.
- Supervise and guide junior technicians and operators.
- Maintain production logs, maintenance records, and reports.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working workplace.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams.

Required Skills Competencies

- Strong knowledge of rolling mill operations and light structural manufacturing.
- Mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety standards and industrial practices.

Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Metallurgical Engineering (or related field).
- 5 8 years of experience in rolling mills, steel plants, or similar manufacturing environments.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with light gauge steel, tubes, or cold rolling processes.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and automation.
- Prior supervisory or team-leading experience.
