Job Summary: The Sr. Technician will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance of equipment and systems in a captive power plant. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical components to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the power generation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures in a timely manner
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve plant operations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a power plant
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Willingness to work in shifts and on weekends as required
Skills
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
