Position Summary: Ensures maximum uptime and operational efficiency of the Blast Furnace, including its stock house, charging systems, hydraulic systems, and gas cleaning plants (GCP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Troubleshooting: Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of HT blowers (e.g., 6.6kV), motors, hydraulic power packs, EOT cranes, and weighing systems.
- Automation Control: Manage and troubleshoot Siemens (PCS-7/S7) or Rockwell Automation PLC systems and DCS.
- Instrumentation: Calibrate and maintain sensors for flow, pressure, temperature, and level, including gas analyzers and radar-based burden profile measurement systems.
- Project Engineering: Handle installation and commissioning of current electrical and instrumentation equipment, including MCC, VFD, and field instruments.
- Compliance Safety: Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards,
including work on Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) and high-pressure valve systems.
Required Technical Skills Qualifications:
Education: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience: 3-5+ years in a steel plant or heavy process industry (blast furnace experience preferred).
Automation Systems: Proficiency in DCS (Siemens PCS-7) and PLCs.
Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of industrial networking, field instruments, and motor control.
