Job Description: Accounts Manager
Location: Uganda, Kampala (Head Office)

Position: Accounts Manager
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accounts Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Preferred Industry Exposure-
Mandatory manufacturing industry experience is a must(Recent experience).
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate and timely bookkeeping and financial records.
• Conduct Internal Audits and control expenses
• Coordinate and manage statutory audits
• Handle taxation matters and respond to queries from the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory
requirements.
• Implement and monitor cost control measures to improve efficiency.
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and support management in decision-
making.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants,
and regulatory authorities.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Education: MCom with qualified qualification (CA) preferred.
• Experience: 10-12 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, and taxation.
Mining or manufacturing industry exposure will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software Tally, Odoo and MS Office (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
Education Qualification-
M.Com, MBA, Inter CA or PG Diploma in Finance
Compensation
