Senior Analyst ERP Application Support (Oracle Fusion Finance Techno-Functional)

Job Summary
This role is a senior techno-functional position responsible for advanced support, technical analysis, and solution delivery in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials. The individual will act as a bridge between Finance business and technical/integration teams, with solid emphasis on data, integrations, reporting, and troubleshooting, while retaining functional ownership of finance processes.
Compared to Analyst II, this role requires deep technical expertise (SQL, integrations, data model, SLA) and ability to drive complex issue resolution and enhancements independently.

Key Responsibilities
1. Production Support & Issue Resolution

Provide L2/L3 support for Oracle Fusion Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM)
Perform deep-dive troubleshooting using SQL, logs, and interface tables
Conduct root cause analysis across subledger SLA GL flow
Resolve data, accounting, and integration failures

2. Techno-Functional Analysis
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Evaluate impact across:
Subledgers
SLA rules
GL postings
Integrations
Act as Finance + Data SME

3. Technical Expertise (Major Focus Area)
Work hands-on with:
SQL (Intermediate to Advanced) joins, aggregations, reconciliation queries
Oracle Finance tables (AP, AR, GL, XLA tables)
SLA architecture (events, accounting rules)

Support:
o FBDI templates & bulk data loads
o Interface tables troubleshooting

Develop and troubleshoot:
o OTBI reports
o BI Publisher reports

4. Integration Support
• Work with integration tools:
o OIC / Mulesoft / APIs / file-based integrations
•Troubleshoot:
o Failed integrations
o Data mismatches

Understand:
o Upstream/downstream systems
o Data mapping and transformations

5. Month-End Close & Finance Support
• Support R2R close cycle
• Ensure:
o Data integrity




o Accurate accounting

Work with Finance teams on:
o Reconciliation issues
o Adjustments
o SLA corrections

6. Enhancements & Automation

Identify opportunities for:
o Automation
o Process optimization

Drive:
o Small enhancements
o Reporting improvements

Participate in:
o Release cycles, UAT, regression testing

7. Documentation & Governance

Prepare:
o Technical design documents
o Data flow diagrams
o SOPs

Ensure:
o Audit readiness
o Compliance support

Required Skills (Updated Focus)

Must Have (Strong Emphasis)
•Oracle Fusion Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM)
•Strong SQL (mandatory not basic anymore)
•Finance data model understanding (tables + joins)
•SLA concepts (events, accounting derivations)

Production support (L2/L3)
Tech-Heavy Additions
•FBDI + data load troubleshooting
•Interface tables + integration debugging

Basic knowledge of:
o REST APIs
o Web services

Good to Have
• OIC / Mulesoft exposure
• BI Publisher (layout + data templates)
• OTBI customization
• Finance domain depth (P2P, O2C, R2R)

Experience : 5 - 9 years
• At least 3 - 4 years in Fusion techno-functional role
