Role overview

WellnessFast is looking for an experienced and empathetic Functional Medicine Physician to manage clients with metabolic and lifestyle-related conditions.

The doctor will assess medical history, symptoms, laboratory findings, medications, nutrition and lifestyle factors to identify underlying contributors and create personalised, evidence-informed care plans.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct detailed medical consultations and follow-ups.
- Interpret blood investigations, symptoms, medical history and medications.
- Manage clients with obesity, diabetes, insulin resistance, PCOS/PCOD, thyroid disorders, fatty liver, hypertension, dyslipidaemia and selected autoimmune conditions.
- Create personalised plans involving nutrition, lifestyle changes and clinically appropriate supplementation.
- Review supplement dosage, contraindications and drugsupplement interactions.
- Track symptoms, laboratory markers and clinical progress.
- Identify red flags and refer clients to appropriate specialists when required.
- Explain medical findings and treatment plans clearly and empathetically.
- Work closely with health coaches and nutrition professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow telemedicine and medical-ethics requirements.
- Contribute to clinical protocols and coach training.

Required qualifications





- MBBS from a recognised medical institution.
- Valid NMC or State Medical Council registration.
- Minimum five years of post-internship clinical experience.
- Strong experience in managing metabolic and lifestyle-related conditions.
- Knowledge of functional medicine, clinical nutrition and evidence-informed supplementation.
- Ability to interpret comprehensive blood investigations.
- Excellent consultation, counselling and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage clients and recognise when specialist referral is necessary.

Preferred qualifications

- Certification or training in functional medicine, lifestyle medicine, clinical nutrition, diabetology or obesity medicine.
- MD/DNB in General Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Previous experience in functional medicine, preventive health, metabolic health or technology-enabled healthcare.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary care teams and conducting online consultations.

and uses supplements responsibly. The doctor should follow evidence-based medical practice, avoid exaggerated claims and work collaboratively with coaches and other healthcare professionals.
