Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

- Handle procurement of LPDC spares, consumables, mechanical spares, regular consumables, Drawing items and engineering services required for plant operations.
- Float RFQs (Request for Quotations) to approved vendors and new suppliers.
- Conduct techno-commercial evaluation of offers and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
- Logical costing of the engineering spares and services.
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contractual conditions with suppliers.

Purchase Order & Payment Management

- Generate and process Purchase Orders in accordance with company procurement policies.
- Monitor the complete procurement cycle from requisition to payment closure.
- Coordinate with finance and suppliers for timely invoice processing and payment release.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and documentation requirements.

Vendor Management

- Identify, develop, and evaluate current vendors for mechanical items, services, and consumables.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and timely deliveries.




- Conduct periodic vendor performance assessments and supplier audits.
- Handle vendor reconciliation and resolve commercial issues related to invoices, payments, and deliveries.

Inventory & Delivery Management

- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Coordinate with stores and user departments to avoid stock-outs and production interruptions.
- Support inventory optimization initiatives through effective procurement planning.

Technical Evaluation

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Evaluate technical requirements and estimate logical costing for fabricated items, repair jobs, and engineering services.
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and project teams for technical clarifications.

Cost Control & Compliance

- Achieve cost savings through strategic sourcing, negotiations, and alternate vendor development.
- Maintain procurement records and MIS reports.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
