Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Site Engineer (Mechanical) to oversee the execution of structural steel and piping fabrication, erection, equipment alignment, shutdown, and breakdown activities. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within the agreed project timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and execute structural steel and piping fabrication and erection activities as per the Purchase Order (PO) scope, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor all site execution activities to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.
- Manage equipment alignment, shutdown, breakdown, maintenance, and related mechanical works.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, work permit systems, and plant procedures.
- Monitor daily work progress against project schedules and implement corrective actions to prevent delays.
- Coordinate with clients, supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct routine site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to engineering standards.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, work completion reports, inspection records, and other project documentation.
- Manage manpower efficiently, allocate resources effectively, and maintain productivity at the work site.
- Identify technical and operational issues proactively and resolve them with minimal impact on project schedules.

Qualifications





- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical site execution.

Experience & Technical Skills

- Strong practical experience in structural steel and piping fabrication, erection, and installation.
- Hands-on experience in equipment alignment, shutdown, turnaround, and breakdown.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical drawings, fabrication standards, erection procedures, and relevant engineering codes.
- Strong understanding of site safety practices, work permit systems, statutory regulations, and quality compliance requirements.
- Ability to independently plan, manage, and execute site activities, including effective manpower and resource management.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, coordination, and decision-making skills with the ability to work under tight project schedules.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOM), material take-offs, cost estimates, quotations, work completion reports, daily progress reports, and inspection records.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for preparing, reviewing, and interpreting engineering drawings, fabrication details, and project specifications.
- Good knowledge of material specifications, welding procedures, quality inspection requirements, and site documentation.
