Role & Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end transportation operations for eCommerce Last Mile, Middle Mile, and Line Haul deliveries.
- Plan, monitor, and optimize daily transportation schedules to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Develop and manage a strong network of transport vendors and vehicle owners across multiple locations.
- Source vehicles based on business requirements and ensure vehicle availability during peak operations.
- Negotiate transportation rates and contracts with transporters to achieve cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
- Monitor transportation costs, analyze route profitability, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Own the Profit & Loss (P&L;) for the transportation business by controlling operating expenses and maximizing margins.
- Coordinate with warehouse, operations, customer service, and clients for seamless transportation execution.
- Manage transporter performance, SLA adherence, and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, vehicle documentation, insurance, permits, and safety standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and present operational performance to management.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree. In Logistics , Supply Chain Management, Business Administration is an added advantage.




- 5 - 8 Years of experience in transportation and logistics operations, with significant exposure to eCommerce logistics.
- Proven experience in managing Last Mile, Middle Mile, and Line Haul transportation.
- Strong experience in vehicle sourcing, transporter/vendor development, and fleet management.
- Hands-on experience in transportation cost negotiation and contract management.
- Valuable understanding of transportation Profit & Loss (P&L;), budgeting, and cost optimization.
- Experience in handling high shipment volumes while maintaining SLA commitments.
- Strong knowledge of route planning, fleet utilization, transportation compliance, and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards)
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
