The Assistant Manager (AM) - RD will play a crucial role in the design and development of recent products and improvements to existing product lines of water dispensers and nutritional blends (NB). The role involves close collaboration with various departments such as tooling, molding, and sheet metal to ensure enhanced productivity and efficiency in designed parts.
1. Key Functional Responsibilities:
1. Design of Products: Lead the design process for new products and modifications to existing product lines.
2. Collaboration: Work closely with tooling, molding, and sheet metal departments to optimize designed parts for enhanced productivity.
3. CAD Design: Create 2D drawings and 3D models of components using CAD software.
4. Prototype Development: Coordinate with the Proto lab to fabricate molds and tooling required for prototype development.
5. Production Tooling: Design and develop production tooling and processes to meet customer requirements.
6. Production Efficiency: Collaborate with Production Engineering to optimize tooling and systems for improved production efficiency.
1. Additional Responsibilities:
1. Project Leadership: Lead key RD projects that support business goals.
2. Technology Transfer: Facilitate the transfer of new technologies, products,
and manufacturing processes into and out of the company.
3. Training and Development: Recommend training tools to enhance employee performance and skill development.
4. Documentation: Document all phases of research and development activities.
