Job Summary

The Cloud Operations Center Engineer (Mid‑Level) is responsible for secure, secure, and efficient operations of Wacker’s cloud platforms across a multi‑cloud workplace.rnThe role focuses on L2/L3 operational support, platform reliability, automation enablement, and continuous optimization, ensuring cloud services meet SLA, security, and performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Operations & Service StabilityrnrnOperate and support cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Azure China/21Vianet, Oracle OCI – as applicable to Wacker scope).rnEnsure availability, performance, and reliability of cloud services through proactive monitoring and operational controls.rnSupport BAU cloud operations aligned with agreed SLAs and governance standards.rnrnIncident, Problem & Change ManagementrnrnHandle L2/L3 cloud incidents and service requests, including troubleshooting of compute, storage, networking, and platform services.rnParticipate in major incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.rnExecute and support cloud change activities (patching, configuration changes, upgrades) following approved change processes.rnrnAutomation & Operational EfficiencyrnrnSupport and enhance infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible,



or native cloud automation services.rnIdentify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency through automation and standardization.rnCollaborate with DevOps and platform teams to align operational practices.rnrnSecurity, Governance & CompliancernrnEnsure cloud operations adhere to Wacker security, compliance, and governance policies.rnSupport access management, logging, monitoring, and audit requirements for cloud services.rnMaintain operational documentation, runbooks, and evidence for audits and reviews.rnrnCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementrnrnWork closely with application teams, database teams, network, security, and ITSM functions to resolve cross‑tower issues.rnContribute to cloud service optimization, cost awareness, and capacity planning discussions.rnMentor junior cloud engineers and support knowledge transfer within the GCC.

Skill Requirements

5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations or platform support roles.rnHands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Oracle OCI (multi‑cloud exposure preferred).rnSolid understanding of cloud networking, security basics, monitoring, and cost management.rnExperience with automation / IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM, etc.).rnFamiliarity with ITIL processes and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).rnAbility to operate in on‑call or shift‑based models if required.
