Handles end-to-end billing for empaneled patients, ensuring compliance with government rates, proper documentation, and timely claim submission. Key tasks include verifying patient records, preparing final bills, and managing approvals/rejections.
Responsibilities
- Billing Process: Handle ECHS/CGHS inpatient and outpatient bills as per approved package rates.
- Documentation: Ensure all claims are submitted with required supporting documents (discharge summaries, investigations, and approvals).
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with CGHS and ECHS guidelines, including and NABH standards.
- Rejections Management: Follow up on pending claims, address rejections, and handle resubmissions.
- Verification: Validate patient registration, treatment authorization, and tariff verification before final billing.
- Coordination:
Coordinate with TPA (Third Party Administrators), corporate clients, and hospital departments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 2–4 years in health insurance/government scheme billing.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Technical Skills: Valuable knowledge of hospital billing software and MS Excel.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and good communication skills.
