Software Tester - Intern

Role Overview

- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Testing Intern to join our team. The candidate will assist in ensuring the quality and reliability of web / Mobile applications through manual and automated testing processes.Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Write, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Perform various types of testing including:

- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
- Regression Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Black Box and White Box Testing

- Conduct manual and basic automated testing for web / Mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using standard bug tracking tools.
- Perform database testing and validate data integrity.
- Create Test Data for different users.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation and reports.




- Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and ensure quality delivery.

Technical Skills

- Basic understanding of: SDLC, STLC, and Bug Life Cycle
- Knowledge of: Manual Testing (Web / Mobile Applications), Automated Testing (Web / Mobile Applications), Database Testing, Test Cases Writing and Execution
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as: Jira, Mantis, or Bugzilla, EXCEL
- Exposure to automation tools such as: Selenium, QTP, or IBM RFT

Qualifications

- BE / BSc IT / MSc IT / MCA / MCM or equivalent
- Certification in Software Testing is a plus.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter is an added advantage.
- ISTQB certification preferred.

Additional Requirements

- Solid attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
