Senior Data Engineer Replacement Requirement Data Engineering Team Position Senior Data Engineer (Replacement Hire) Department Data Engineering / Analytics Location Delhi NCR region or Dehradun Experience Required 5-8 Years Reporting To Data Engineering Lead / Manager Employment Type Full-Time Role Summary We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer.The candidate will own end-to-end data pipeline design and development on Azure, working across data ingestion, transformation, warehousing, and reporting layers, with additional exposure to SAP Basis / database administration considered a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.

Develop and optimize big data processing workflows using Apache Spark and PySpark.

Build and maintain data models and semantic layers using Azure Analysis Services for reporting and analytics.

Develop dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI for business stakeholders.

Write and optimize complex queries in MS SQL / SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation.

Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using Azure DevOps.

Administer and monitor Azure Cloud infrastructure supporting data platforms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.

Ensure data quality, governance, and performance optimization across pipelines and platforms.

Support SAP Basis Administration and Oracle Database Administration tasks where required.

Required Skills & Experience 5-8 years of experience in Data Engineering within IT services or a related industry.

Robust hands-on experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, and Delta Lake.

Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Analysis Services.

Strong SQL skills (MS SQL) for data modeling, transformation, and performance tuning.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting.

Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and Azure Cloud Administration.

Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation tasks.

Working knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments.

Exposure to SAP Basis Administration and/or Oracle Database Administration is an added advantage.

Preferred Certifications Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (or equivalent Azure certification) Any additional Microsoft/Azure or Data Engineering certifications will be a plus Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Computer Science / IT / Computer Systems Technology or related field Other Details Location: Delhi NCR region or Dehradun.
