About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Architect with strong expertise in database architecture, enterprise-scale migration, and cloud modernization. The ideal candidate will lead complex database migration projects from on-premises environments to Azure Cloud while ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and minimal downtime.

Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Architecture & Migration

- Lead enterprise database migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Azure Cloud.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing database architectures.
- Execute complex multi-platform database migrations with minimal or zero downtime.
- Perform schema conversion, dependency analysis, compatibility assessments, and data validation.
- Plan and execute migration strategies while ensuring data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.

Performance & Reliability

- Optimize databases for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Design High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, and recovery strategies.
- Resolve database performance bottlenecks, system instability, and resource utilization issues.
- Perform capacity planning and infrastructure sizing.

Collaboration & Support

- Work closely with Architects, Application Teams, DevOps Engineers, and Infrastructure teams.




- Provide production support and troubleshooting for critical database environments.
- Participate in modernization initiatives and cloud transformation programs.

Required Technical Skills

- 15+ years of database architecture and administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with database migration from on-premises to Azure Cloud.
- Strong expertise in:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- MongoDB
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Expertise in HA/DR architecture, backup, and recovery planning.
- Experience executing enterprise-scale database migrations.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Azure ecosystem and DevOps practices.
