Job Title: Sous Chef – Continental Cuisine / Personal Chef

Job Summary

The Sous Chef – Continental Cuisine is responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining consistency in Continental dishes. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of Continental dishes (Italian, French, Mediterranean, etc.)
- Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation of all dishes
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Control food costs and minimize wastage
- Ensure timely service during peak hours

- Solid knowledge of Continental cuisine and cooking techniques
- Leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity in food presentation and menu development
- Good understanding of food safety standards (HACCP)

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management
- 3–5+ years of experience in Continental cuisine
- Prior experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role preferred
