Site Accountant

Job Summary

The Site Accountant is responsible for managing the financial and accounting activities at the project site. This role ensures accurate recording of transactions, monitoring project expenses, maintaining financial records, processing payments, and supporting project management with timely financial reports. The Site Accountant works closely with the project team, vendors, and the head office to ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate records of all site financial transactions.
- Process invoices, vendor bills, and employee reimbursements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash and expense reports.
- Monitor project budgets and track site expenditures.
- Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Reconcile cash, bank, and supplier accounts.
- Verify purchase orders, delivery notes, and payment requests.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores departments to ensure proper inventory and cost recording.
- Prepare payroll inputs, attendance summaries, and labor payment records where applicable.
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards,



and statutory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete financial documentation.
- Liaise with the head office finance team for reporting and financial queries.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or project-based industries.(freshers with suitable knowledge also can apply)
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Robust numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently at project sites and meet reporting deadlines.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with project accounting and cost control.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
