We are seeking a data-driven, results-oriented SEO & E-Commerce Specialist to take ownership of our Shopify store, optimize our search engine rankings, drive organic website traffic, and increase conversion rates across digital channels.

Key Responsibilities1. Shopify Store & Catalog Management

- Manage day-to-day operations of our Shopify store, including uploading new SKUs, setting up product variants, tags, and structuring collection pages for maximum discoverability.
- Write compelling, keyword-rich product descriptions and technical spec summaries that match user search intent while maintaining a premium brand voice.
- Work with creative team members to ensure product images, dimensional diagrams, and banners are optimized (compressed WebP format, clean alt-text, quick loading times).

2. Search Engine Optimization (Technical, On-Page & Local)

- Technical SEO: Conduct regular audits using tools like Google Search Console and Screaming Frog to identify and fix crawl errors, broken links, canonical tag issues, and site speed bottlenecks.
- On-Page SEO: Optimize meta titles, descriptions, headers (H1/H2), internal linking structures, and implement structured data (JSON-LD Product Schema) for rich search snippets.
- Local SEO: Manage and optimize our Google Business Profile (Google Maps) for our Kolkata showroom locations, driving high-intent local search traffic ("architectural lighting showroom near me").
- Off-Page & Outreach: Build high-quality local citations, brand mentions, and backlinks through outreach to interior design, architecture,



and home decor publications.

3. Analytics, Tracking & CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization)

- Monitor and analyze daily website performance using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), tracking metrics such as organic traffic, bounce rates, conversion rates, and average order value (AOV).
- Audit e-commerce sales funnels to identify user drop-off points and implement A/B testing on product pages, checkout flows, and navigation menus to improve conversion rates.
- Set up and verify conversion tracking pixels, custom events, and Google Tag Manager (GTM) triggers.

4. Keyword Strategy & Content Planning

- Perform deep keyword research to identify high-intent, long-tail commercial search terms (e.g., "magnetic track lighting system Kolkata", "tunable white LED drivers India").
- Collaborate on content creation to publish SEO-friendly buying guides, installation tutorials, and blog posts aimed at both homeowners and trade professionals (architects/interior designers).

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven experience managing SEO and Shopify store operations for an e-commerce or D2C brand.
- Tool Proficiency:
- Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Google Tag Manager.
- SEO research tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, or Screaming Frog).
- Shopify admin ecosystem (theme adjustments, apps, and collection management).
- Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Liquid code structure to implement schema markup, meta tags, and open graph tags.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate raw analytics data into actionable site improvements and revenue-generating experiments.
- Communication: Strong written English skills for drafting clear, search-optimized copy and metadata.
