Key Responsibilities

Category & Business Ownership

- Own and drive growth of the Personal Care categories across D2C, marketplaces, and omnichannel channels.
- Build and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans aligned with company growth objectives.
- Drive category growth through strong commercial planning, assortment strategy, and business execution.
- Monitor category performance, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions to improve topline, margins, and profitability.
- Analyze customer behavior, market trends, and competitor landscape to identify growth opportunities.

New Product Development (NPD) & Innovation

- Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) in collaboration with internal R&D; and product development teams.
- Bring strong understanding and exposure to skincare & haircare formulations, ingredients, textures, efficacy claims, and consumer preferences.
- Identify market trends, consumer insights, category white spaces, and innovation opportunities to build differentiated product pipelines.
- Work closely with R&D;, sourcing, packaging, and regulatory teams to develop innovative and high-potential products.
- Drive innovation strategy across skincare and haircare categories while ensuring commercial viability and scalability.
- Translate consumer needs and market opportunities into winning product concepts and launch plans.
- Stay updated on global beauty trends, ingredient innovations, and competitor launches.

Product Launches & GTM Strategy

- Own and execute end-to-end Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for new product launches.
- Define product positioning, pricing architecture, communication angles, and launch strategy.
- Collaborate with brand, content, performance marketing, CRM, and marketplace teams for successful product rollouts.
- Ensure strong positioning, pricing, communication,



and channel strategy for all launches.
- Monitor post-launch performance and optimize strategies based on consumer response and business insights.

Marketplace & Channel Growth

- Scale category presence across Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart, and other relevant marketplaces.
- Optimize listings, assortment planning, visibility, and marketplace profitability.
- Drive channel-wise growth through data-backed planning and execution.

Inventory & Demand Planning

- Work closely with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure healthy inventory planning and forecasting.
- Minimize stock-outs, excess inventory, and ageing risks while ensuring high product availability.

Cross-Functional Leadership

- Collaborate with marketing, finance, operations, growth, and product teams to achieve category goals.
- Build scalable processes and drive operational excellence across the category.

Mentor and lead category team members as the business scales.

Requirements

- 6–10+ years of experience in Category Management, Brand Management, Product Development, or Business Management.
- Mandatory experience in Skincare and/or Haircare categories.
- Strong exposure to NPD, product innovation, and product launch management within beauty/personal care categories.
- Good understanding of skincare & haircare ingredients, formulations, trends, and consumer behavior.
- Prior experience collaborating with formulation/R&D; teams for product development and innovation initiatives.
- Solid understanding of D2C, marketplaces, and omnichannel business models.
- Experience working with high-growth consumer brands, beauty brands, or startups preferred.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and commercial thinking capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership and execution focus.
