Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Manager to oversee and manage all commercial aspects of projects and business operations within an industrial/automation environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for contract management, financial oversight, cost control, and ensuring project profitability while supporting business growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Contract Management

- Review, draft, and negotiate customer and vendor contracts.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks in contracts and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.

Financial Planning & Cost Control

- Monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and profitability.
- Drive cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives.
- Track revenue recognition and billing milestones.

Bid & Proposal Support

- Collaborate closely with Sales and Engineering teams during bid preparation.
- Evaluate commercial terms, pricing strategies, and risk exposure.
- Support the preparation of techno-commercial proposals.

Project Commercial Governance

- Work with Project Managers to maintain financial discipline across projects.
- Monitor project cash flow, invoicing, and collections.
- Manage change orders,



claims, and project variations.

Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with internal teams including Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Operations.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients on commercial matters.
- Support dispute resolution and contract closure activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of contract law and commercial frameworks.
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Experience in industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or automation sectors preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA or equivalent qualification is an added advantage.
- Experience handling techno-commercial projects in industrial automation environments preferred.
