Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IBM MQ Administrator to manage, support, and optimize enterprise messaging infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have robust hands-on experience in IBM MQ administration, installation, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and high availability. The role involves ensuring reliable and secure message delivery across enterprise applications while maintaining high system availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, upgrade, and administer IBM MQ environments on Linux, UNIX, or Windows platforms.
- Create and manage Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Listeners, and Topics.
- Configure SSL/TLS security, authentication, and authorization for IBM MQ.
- Monitor MQ performance, capacity, and availability to ensure optimal system health.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MQ-related production issues, including message flow failures and channel connectivity problems.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities for MQ environments.
- Configure and support High Availability (HA), Multi-Instance Queue Managers, and clustering.
- Apply IBM MQ patches, fix packs, and version upgrades.
- Work closely with application development teams during deployment and integration activities.
- Support incident, problem,



and change management processes following ITIL best practices.
- Prepare operational documentation, SOPs, and technical runbooks.
- Participate in 24×7 production support and on-call rotations when required.

- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
