Job Role: Physics Teacher (Middle School)
Location: DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon
Kunskapsskolan International School is seeking a passionate, innovative, and experienced Physics Teacher to teach students in the Middle School (Grades 6–8), delivering engaging lessons aligned with the CBSE and International curriculum. The ideal candidate will inspire scientific inquiry, develop conceptual understanding, and create meaningful learning experiences through experimentation, technology integration, and real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging Physics and Integrated Science lessons for middle school students.
- Develop students conceptual understanding through inquiry-based, experiential, and project-based learning.
- Teach scientific concepts using demonstrations, laboratory investigations, simulations, and hands-on activities.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Integrate interdisciplinary connections across Science, Mathematics, Technology, and Engineering.
- Promote scientific thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and innovation.
Curriculum Planning
- Plan lessons in alignment with CBSE learning outcomes and international best practices.
- Design unit plans, lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources.
- Integrate technology and digital tools into classroom instruction.
- Ensure curriculum delivery is aligned with the school's personalized learning philosophy.
Assessment & Student Progress
- Develop formative and summative assessments.
- Monitor student learning through continuous assessment and constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records and student portfolios.
- Analyse student performance data to plan interventions and enrichment opportunities.
Student Development
- Foster curiosity, confidence, resilience, and independent learning.
- Encourage participation in STEM initiatives, science fairs, exhibitions, Olympiads, and innovation challenges.
- Build positive relationships with students while promoting wellbeing and responsible behaviour.
- Mentor students in academic and personal growth.
Collaboration & Career development
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Participate actively in curriculum planning meetings and professional learning communities.
- Attend school meetings, workshops, CBSE mandatory training programmes, and internal professional development sessions.
- Contribute to school improvement initiatives and innovation in teaching practices.
Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related Science discipline.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in middle school.
- Experience teaching CBSE, Cambridge Lower Secondary, IB MYP, or other international curricula is preferred.
- CTET qualification will be an added advantage.
- Strong subject knowledge in Physics and Middle School Science.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
