Summary:
As an Operations Engineer, a typical day involves overseeing the smooth functioning and delivery of production systems and services. This role requires continuous monitoring and support to ensure operational requirements and service agreements are met effectively. The position demands proactive management of system performance, addressing any issues that arise, and coordinating with various teams to maintain service reliability and efficiency throughout the day.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to optimize operational workflows and improve system uptime.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall capabilities.
- Coordinate incident response and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of issues.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Splunk Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), AWS CloudFormation, Python Frameworks, Elastic Stack (ELK).
- Solid experience in monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting security events and operational alerts.
- Ability to design and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code principles to support scalable environments.
- Experience in integrating and managing log management and event correlation platforms.
- Capability to work with cross-functional teams to align operational processes with business objectives.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Splunk Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
