SAP BTP / CPI Integration Consultant
Success Factors Integration & Middleware Programme
Job Title: SAP BTP / Integration Suite (CPI) Consultant
Location: Pune, India (VE3 Pune office; hybrid)
Position Type: Full-time
Experience Level: 5-9 years
Working Pattern: Offshore delivery with overlap into UK business hours to align with the onshore team
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP / Cloud Integration (CPI) Consultant to design, build and support the integration layer on a large-scale Success Factors and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) transformation. The programme migrates a complex UK public sector payroll and HR estate from legacy SAP ECC / SAP HCM into the SAP Success Factors landscape, covering approximately 65,000 employees across 17 payroll areas, multiple public sector pension schemes (LGPS, Teachers, NHS), a significant multiple-employment population, and more than 60 integration interfaces.
This role is based in VE3's Pune office as part of an onshore-offshore delivery model, working with a daily overlap into UK business hours alongside the onshore team. With more than 60 interfaces in scope across payroll and non-payroll, integration is one of the highest-risk and highest-value areas of the programme. The consultant will own the technical integration design and build on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Cloud Integration (Integration Suite / CPI), including replication between on-premise SAP and the Success Factors cloud, and the outbound interfaces to finance, banking, HMRC and the public sector pension funds.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
• Integration design and build. Design, develop, test and document integration flows on SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI) for the 60+ interfaces in scope,
aligned to enterprise integration standards.
• Interface delivery. Build and support the key interface categories, including:
◦ Employee master data replication from Employee Central to ECP
◦ Time and third-party data feeds into payroll
◦ Payroll posting to the finance / general ledger system
◦ BACS payment output and bank interfaces
◦ HMRC / RTI supporting interfaces
◦ Pension fund returns (for example LGPS i-Connect, Teachers' Pensions)
◦ SAP Concur and other third-party integrations
• Hybrid replication. Support employee master data replication and hybrid ECC-Success Factors coexistence, including tooling such as Infoporter, ensuring data flows are aligned to the target-state architecture.
• Error handling and monitoring. Design robust error handling, alerting, reprocessing and monitoring so that failed records are surfaced and recovered rather than lost - critical for payroll-bound data.
• Security and connectivity. Configure secure connectivity, authentication (for example OAuth, certificates), and where relevant SAP Cloud Identity Services and API management on BTP.
• Testing support. Support end-to-end interface testing, system integration testing, UAT and the parallel payroll runs, resolving integration defects within agreed service levels.
• Cutover and hypercare. Promote interfaces to production,
support cutover, and provide hypercare through go-live and stabilisation.
• Documentation and governance. Produce interface specifications and operational runbooks, and support architecture assurance and code review forums.
• Onshore-offshore collaboration. Work closely with the onshore UK-based functional, technical and programme leads, maintaining a daily overlap with UK business hours throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Essential Experience
• SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI) design and build
• Success Factors integration, including EC to ECP replication

• Hybrid ECC-Success Factors coexistence and Infoporter replication
• SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS / IPS)

• Transparent communication and documentation discipline
• Ability to work effectively across business and technical teams
• Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset appropriate to a payroll programme
• Proactive approach to risk and issue identification
