The Travel Consultant – Sales will be the first point of contact for customers exploring trips with Dream On Travel, responsible for understanding their travel needs, answering questions with confidence, and converting inquiries into confirmed bookings. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role centred on individual sales performance handling your own pipeline of leads from first contact through to a happy, booked traveller. The consultant will manage day-to-day follow-ups, resolve customer doubts around pricing and itineraries, and ensure every interaction reflects the warmth and reliability Dream On Travel is known for. Success in this role is measured primarily by personal conversion rate, responsiveness, and the quality of the customer experience you deliver.

Key Expectation

You are expected to independently manage a steady volume of inbound and outbound leads, respond quickly and accurately to customer questions, and consistently convert a healthy share of inquiries into bookings. You'll work within sales scripts, pricing guidelines, and follow-up cadences set by the leadership team, executing them well rather than designing them from scratch. You're expected to flag patterns you notice recurring objections, drop-off points, customer feedback to your manager, even though refining the overall strategy isn't your responsibility at this level.

Role Nature

This is an individual-contributor role suited to someone early-to-mid in their sales career who enjoys talking to people, is comfortable on the phone and over chat, and is motivated by hitting personal targets. It's a strong fit for someone who wants to build deep travel-industry sales experience and grow into a leadership track over time, rather than someone looking to manage a team immediately.

Key Responsibilities

You will handle inbound customer inquiries across calls, WhatsApp, and social media, qualifying each lead and understanding what kind of trip, budget, and timeline the customer has in mind.



You will explain trip itineraries, pricing, inclusions, and exclusions clearly enough that customers feel confident booking, and you will proactively follow up on warm leads using the cadence and templates provided by your manager rather than improvising your own. You will maintain accurate, up-to-date records of every lead and its status in the CRM or tracking sheet so nothing falls through the cracks, and you will coordinate with the operations team once a booking is confirmed to ensure the customer's details and preferences are handed off correctly. You'll also pass relevant customer feedback or recurring questions back to the marketing and leadership team, since you're closest to what customers are actually asking and objecting to.

Requirements

Candidates should be graduates in any field, with a specialisation in marketing, communication, or travel preferred. 2–5 years of experience in sales, telesales, or customer engagement is required, ideally including some direct phone-based selling. Proficiency in both Tamil and English is essential, along with transparent, confident verbal communication. Basic comfort with CRM tools or lead-tracking spreadsheets, and the ability to stay organised across a high volume of conversations, will be important day to day.

Other Important Details

Salary range: ₹25,000 – ₹45,000 per month, based on experience and skill level. This is a work-from-office position based in Coimbatore, with a daily commute required , there is no remote or hybrid option available. We are considering Coimbatore-based candidates only.
