Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Publications Specialist with a solid blend of technical writing, documentation tools expertise, and exposure to engineering/CAD environments. The role involves creating end-to-end documentation, managing knowledge bases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver clear and structured technical content.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, write, edit, and maintain high-quality technical documentation including user manuals, SOPs, API documentation, release notes, installation guides, and FAQs.

· Create and manage knowledge base content, help center articles, and internal documentation repositories.

· Collaborate with engineering, product, QA, and support teams to gather technical information and ensure accuracy.

· Interpret and document CAD drawings, engineering designs, and product specifications where applicable.

· Convert complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.

· Create visuals such as diagrams, flowcharts, and illustrations using documentation/CAD outputs.

· Manage documentation lifecycle including version control, updates, publishing, and archival.

· Ensure documentation consistency, usability, and adherence to company standards and style guides.

· Maintain and optimize documentation platforms such as knowledge bases,



portals, and content management systems.

· Support customer-facing and internal teams by providing documentation and content-related assistance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 5–10 years of experience in technical writing / technical publications.

· Strong experience in knowledge base management and documentation frameworks.

· Exposure to CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo (working knowledge is sufficient, not core design role).

· Proficiency in documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, MS Word, Confluence, RoboHelp, or similar.

· Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and documentation portals.

· Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).

· Ability to understand software concepts, APIs, and engineering workflows.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or product engineering companies.

· Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.

· Certification in Technical Writing or Technical Communication is an added advantage.
