Beku is India's first Cafe, Bakery, Bookstore. Our space is home to an independent bookstore, curated events, artisanal bakery, sourdough pizzas, hot kitchen and speciality coffee. Our main ethos is towards creating community centric and people focused hospitality which is the need of the hour.

This position is for heading the Bakery operations at the space. We are a 60-80 seater, vegetarian, upscale casual dining with an in-house bakery focusing on Viennoisserie, Laminated Pastries, Enriched & Lean Breads, Cakes, Cookies, Pies with a focus on innovation with flavours and techniques. Prior experience leading a bakery operation is preferred. Expertise in Viennoisserie and Artisanal Breads is required.

Responsibilities:

- Maintaining all Bakery SOP's and Recipes
- Taking an active hand in day to day operations and production
- Creative outlook towards developing new bakes & recipes
- Maintaining consistency of operations, quality of output




- Managing & maintaining food cost
- Handling all Bakery production staff
- Coordination with other departments to ensure smooth overall functioning
- Create reports, duty rosters, production schedules, handles inventory etc

Looking for:

- Expertise in Viennoisserie and Artisanal Breads
- Expertise in baking, some experience with pastries and an interest in innovation
- 6+ years of experience in Bakery production and experience in a leadership position.
- Bachelors / Diploma in Hotel Management, Baking & Pastry or related fields.
- Hands on experience with the preparation of laminated pastries, breads in daily production.
- Passionate and Innovative individual looking to be part of project that ushers in a new age of hospitality
- Open minded, team player with positive communication skills
