ABOUT CONSENTBIT
ConsentBit is privacy compliance software covering cookie consent, data subject rights and compliance reporting, built for businesses worldwide, with our customer base concentrated in the US and Europe. The product is live, customers are happy, and our pricing deliberately undercuts the expensive incumbents who dominate this space.
We sell to two kinds of customers: businesses who buy directly for their own websites, and agencies who manage compliance for dozens of clients at once. Both are overpaying today for tools that do not justify the cost. The product story is strong; what we need now is someone to tell it: consistently, creatively and across every channel.
We are a small, focused team that moves rapid and enjoys the work. You will work directly with the founders, with real context and real ownership, not inside layers of process.
THE ROLE
You will be ConsentBit’s first dedicated marketing hire, owning product marketing end to end. That means you decide how ConsentBit is positioned, which channels we invest in, what we publish and send, and how we measure whether it worked. This is a player-coach role. Some channels you will run hands-on yourself: positioning, messaging, email marketing and product-led growth. Others you will direct through our existing in-house team members for SEO and social media, who work across multiple projects and are not exclusive to ConsentBit. They execute well; what they need is someone who owns the strategy, sets priorities, and ties their work to results. Partner marketing to agencies is part of the role too. The partner program, pricing and incentives are already designed. You will build the campaigns and collateral that recruit and activate agency partners, alongside the direct-customer marketing motion.
You will be based in India and marketing primarily to US and European buyers, so everything you write and ship must land with that audience. In short: one person, accountable for the whole marketing function, with the team and product to make it work.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Positioning and messaging
• Define the core narrative for both audiences: why a business switches to ConsentBit, and why an agency standardizes on us across their client base.
• Own competitive positioning against incumbents: comparison pages, switching guides, objection handling and pricing stories.
• Keep website copy, sales collateral and launch messaging sharp as the product evolves.
Email and lifecycle marketing
• Build our email programs from the ground up:
onboarding sequences, nurture flows, product announcements, win-back and partner communications.
• Write the copy, design the flows, run the experiments, report on conversion.
Social media (with our in-house team member)
• Set the content strategy, calendar and voice for our social channels.
• Brief and collaborate with our social media team member on execution; review output and
measure engagement against goals.
SEO and content (with our in-house team member)
• Own the content roadmap: which topics, keywords, and comparison or compliance-education pages matter most for our buyers.
• Work with our SEO team member to prioritize, produce and measure, turning their technical work into pipeline, not just rankings.
Product-led marketing
• Use the product as a channel: in-app messaging, onboarding moments, free tools, badges and feature launches that drive signups, activation and referrals.
• Partner with the founders and product team on launch plans for new features.
Partner (agency) marketing
• Build the pitch, collateral and outreach campaigns that bring agencies onto our partner program.
• Support active partners with co-marketing as they grow their client base on our platform.
Measurement and reporting
• Define the marketing dashboard: signups, activations, partner-sourced licenses, MRR influenced, channel performance.
• Report on outcomes, not activity. We care about licenses and revenue, not post counts or email volume.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Days 1 to 30
Deep on the product, customers, competitors and both audiences. Audit current marketing across email, social, SEO and partner outreach. Agree positioning and a 6-month marketing plan with the founders.
Days 31 to 60
First wins shipped: refreshed core messaging live on the website, first email sequences running, a working content and social calendar with the in-house team, partner pitch in market. Baseline metrics in place.
Days 61 to 90
Visible movement on signups, activations and first partner-sourced licenses. A clear,
data-backed view of which channels to double down on for the next two quarters, and what you need from the team to get there.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Must-haves
• 3 to 6 years in product marketing, growth marketing or full-stack B2B SaaS marketing, ideally at a US-based SaaS company or an Indian SaaS selling primarily to US/global customers.
• You have owned outcomes across multiple channels (email, content/SEO, social, lifecycle or partner marketing), not just executed inside one.
• Proven ability to position a product against bigger, established competitors and win on value.
• Experience coordinating other contributors (in-house, freelance or agency) and getting results through them.
• Excellent written English calibrated for US and European buyers: you will write much of what our customers and partners read, and it has to sound native to that market.
• Comfortable with data: you can set up tracking, read a funnel and decide what to do next.
• Proven remote worker: self-directed, async-friendly, with flexibility for occasional overlap with US/EU time zones for launches and partner calls.
Who you are
• Enthusiastic. You genuinely want to own marketing for a growing product and bring energy to it every week.
• A team player. You share context, ask for input, and make collaboration with shared team members easy and productive.
• An owner. When something is not working, you flag it, propose a fix and drive the change, without being asked.
• A systems builder. You create the calendars, templates and feedback loops that make good marketing repeatable.
• Outcome-focused. You measure yourself by signups, activated licenses and revenue influenced.
• Growth-minded. You want more responsibility over time and to grow with the company.
Bonus points
• Background in privacy tech (strong preference), MarTech, compliance software or digital agency ecosystems.
• Prior partner or channel marketing experience with agencies or resellers.
• Hands-on with tools such as Brevo/HubSpot/Mailchimp, Webflow, GA4, PostHog or similar.
• You have worked at an early-stage startup (India or US) and genuinely enjoyed the pace and breadth.
TO APPLY
Send your resume along with a short note on one marketing initiative you owned end to end: what the goal was, what you personally did, and what the measurable result was. We read every application personally. If there is a fit, we will get back to you within a few days.
