About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and result-driven Sourcing Executive to join our Product Development & Sourcing team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sourcing knitted fabrics, woven fabrics, trims, and garment raw materials, along with strong vendor development, negotiation, and coordination skills.

The role requires identifying reliable suppliers, developing new sourcing opportunities, coordinating material developments, and ensuring timely procurement for sampling and bulk production.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fabric Sourcing

- Source knitted fabrics, woven fabrics, specialty fabrics, and performance textiles based on product requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with fabric mills and suppliers across India.
- Identify current suppliers and alternate sourcing options to optimize cost, quality, and lead time.
- Coordinate fabric developments, sampling, approvals, and bulk procurement.
- Track fabric developments until final approval.

2. Trims & Raw Material Sourcing

Source garment trims and accessories, including:

- Elastics
- Laces
- Hooks & Eyes




- Buckles
- Labels
- Sewing Threads
- Heat Transfer Labels
- Packaging Materials
- Other garment accessories and raw materials
- Coordinate custom trim developments as per product requirements.

3. Vendor Development & Management

- Identify and onboard new suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate:
- Pricing
- MOQ
- MCQ
- Lead Time
- Payment Terms
- Evaluate suppliers based on:
- Quality
- Delivery Performance
- Cost Competitiveness
- Service Levels
- Maintain an updated supplier database.

4. Product Development Support

- Coordinate with the Design and Product Development teams for new material developments.
- Follow up on:
- Sample yardages
- Strike-offs
- Lab dips
- Development timelines
- Ensure all sourced materials meet technical and quality specifications.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate closely with:

- Product Development Team
- Design Team
- Production Team
- Quality Team
- Planning Team
- Suppliers & Vendors

Ensure timely availability of materials for sampling and production.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain supplier database and sourcing tracker.
- Update quotation records and sourcing status.
- Maintain technical specifications and development records.
- Coordinate Purchase Orders with the procurement team.





Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of knitted and woven fabrics.
- Good understanding of garment trims and raw materials.
- Vendor sourcing and development.
- Supplier negotiation skills.

- Excellent follow-up and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers and projects simultaneously.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any of the following:

- Textile Technology
- Textile Engineering
- Fashion Technology
- Apparel Manufacturing
- Fashion Design
- Any relevant discipline

Experience

- 2–4 years of experience in sourcing fabrics, trims, and garment raw materials.
- Experience in the apparel, lingerie, intimate wear, knitwear, or textile manufacturing industry will be preferred.

Compensation

- CTC: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience and skill set)
