Position: Quality Engineer - Electrical (Solar Field Quality)

Job Responsibilities:
Inspect all activities of solar projects in accordance with approved drawings, FQAP, SOPs, and checklists.

Possess a thorough understanding of relevant IS codes, installation manuals, specifications, etc.

Ensure electrical equipment installation is as per drawings and relevant IS codes.

Follow proper precautions for PV module handling and installation of MMS and modules.

Perform HV cable straight-through-joint and end-kit termination with required precautions.

Conduct high-voltage testing of cables and interconnected bus-bars as per relevant IS codes.

Perform testing and ensure acceptance criteria are met for the following:

Strings, SCB, Cable, Inverter, Transformer, Switchgear, LA, CT, PT, Circuit Breaker,



Isolator, Panels, Battery Charger, Control & Relay Panel, Bus Duct.

Oversee cable laying and earthing methodology in solar projects as per IS codes.

Supervise installation and testing of transmission lines.

Ensure proper storage and handling of electrical materials and equipment.

Raise quality non-conformances (NCs) and observations in the Online Quality Tool and escalate through Outlook email.

Follow up with contractors to ensure the closure of quality NCs and observations.

Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports on time.

Provide training to site teams and contractors on relevant topics.

Demonstrate understanding of good construction practices in solar projects and other relevant fields.

Possess basic knowledge of QMS 9001.

Exhibit robust interpersonal skills for dealing with the site team and contractors, along with punctuality.

Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Proficient verbal communication skills in Hindi.

This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication to ensure quality standards in solar project execution.
