Qualification required

Expertise in design, manufacture, assembly, and maintenance of hydrostatic or aerostatic bearings

Job Description:

MGT is currently seeking a strong and passionate design engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer focused on new product development (NPD), you will

Requirements:

1. Conceptualize and develop cutting edge CNC grinding machines and their sub systems (spindles, slides, accessories, etc.) to meet stringent application requirements
2. Perform technical calculations (for component sizing, selection), FEA simulations, error budgets, tolerance stack ups and other analysis to support product design
3. Design of mechanical components and sub-assemblies and machines to meet target specifications within design constraints. Prepare engineering drawings and intermediate processing/ machining drawings using industry best practices
4. Adopt and practice best practices for concurrent engineering including DFA/ DFM, FMEA in product design
5.



Document and communicate the architecture and design with other stakeholders and collaborators through positive documentation: design reviews, analysis reports, assembly process sheets, engineering drawings, BoM’s, etc.
6. Participate in testing and validation of first prototype. Incorporate feedback and improvements from prototyping, testing and field usage.
7. Carrying out costing and budget of components and sub systems based on BOM
