Little Eco Threads is looking for an experienced freelance fashion designer to help us develop our upcoming kids' and babywear collection for presentation at international trade fairs over the next year.

We are a Noida-based manufacturer of sustainable and GOTS-approved clothing for babies and children, exporting to the USA, Europe, and Australia.

Scope of work

The designer will take ownership of the collection-development process from concept to final sample, including:

• Trend research, theme development, colour stories, and moodboards

• Designing a cohesive collection of approximately 60–70 pieces

• Creating sketches, design specifications, and clear inputs for the CAD team

• Working closely with pattern masters, sampling tailors, merchandisers, and the production team

• Selecting suitable fabrics, trims, prints, embroideries, and surface details

• Reviewing fittings and samples and recommending corrections

• Following each style through until the final approved sample

• Ensuring the collection is commercially relevant for buyers in the USA, Europe, and Australia

• Keeping sustainability, comfort, functionality, and international kidswear trends at the centre of the design process

What we are looking for





• Strong experience (at least 5 years+) in babywear, kidswear, or children's apparel design [MUST HAVE]

• A portfolio demonstrating complete collection development

• Good understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrics, prints, and sampling

• Ability to translate concepts into commercially viable products

• Strong coordination and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage timelines and multiple styles

• Availability to work closely with our team in Noida

This is a freelance engagement, but the designer must be able to remain closely involved throughout the development and sampling process. Only candidates based in Noida and available to visit our Noida factory regularly will be considered.
