Job DescriptionJob Title: Teradata Lead / ArchitectExperience: 8–15 YearsLocation: Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida and ChennaiJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Teradata Lead / Architect to design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise-scale data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Teradata technologies, data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and performance tuning, along with experience in modern cloud and big data platforms. The role involves leading technical initiatives, defining architecture, mentoring teams, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-performing data solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata.Lead architecture discussions and recommend scalable, high-performance data solutions.Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.Design and implement ETL/ELT processes using Teradata utilities.Perform performance tuning, workload optimization, and query optimization.Work with large-scale data migration, integration, and modernization initiatives.Collaborate with business analysts, developers, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across data platforms.Monitor and troubleshoot production issues while ensuring system availability and performance.Mentor team members and provide technical guidance on Teradata best practices.Support cloud migration initiatives involving AWS, Azure, Snowflake,



or hybrid data platforms.Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, and architecture artifacts.Required SkillsStrong experience with Teradata Database.Expertise in SQL and database programming.Hands-on experience with BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, and other Teradata utilities.Strong knowledge of Teradata Viewpoint and workload management.Experience in Performance Tuning and query optimization.Positive understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling.Experience in designing and developing ETL/ELT solutions.Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and Shell Scripting.Hands-on experience with Python for automation and data processing.Experience working with Hadoop ecosystems.Exposure to Snowflake and cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Preferred SkillsExperience with cloud-based data warehouse modernization projects.Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and automation practices.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.Exposure to enterprise data governance and security practices.Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Key CompetenciesTeradata Architecture & DesignData WarehousingETL/ELT DevelopmentSQL Development & OptimizationPerformance TuningData ModelingCloud Data PlatformsTechnical LeadershipSolution ArchitectureStakeholder ManagementProblem SolvingTeam Mentoring
