Roles and Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The Front-end Interactive developer will be responsible for working with cross teams like Creative and backend development team to build best in class frontend solutions for different clients across industries as part of the Tech Services practice. Be responsible to continuous integration and continuous deployment. Design/develop highly scalable, performant, fault-tolerant, quality and modular front-end application with a high standard of coding and best practices and integrate with backend systems with help of backend development teams. Contribute to information sharing with peers and cross teams with latest framework and best practices in the industry. Define and create reusability in code by building modular components and packages to reduce time to market for various projects.

KEY DUTIES

- Develop interactive client-side applications and functionality across web sites using contemporary techniques.

- Work in a cross-functional team in various technologies.

- Integrate presentation layer code with backend technologies for CMS, E-Commerce or CRM products like Sitecore, Umbraco, EPiServer, Kentico, Salesforce, Magento, BigCommerce, UCommerce, WooCommerce, Commercetools etc.

- When necessary, stand up new instances of web tooling framework.

- Communicate effectively with the creative user experience team and technical development team.

- Create unit tests to ensure visual consistency and proper functionality across releases.

- Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform and multiple device type compatibility and resolve issues.

- Ensure solutions meet 508 accessibility requirements.

- Stay current on web technology trends and innovations and share information with the team.

- Assess existing solutions for usefulness, usability, and coding techniques.





- Lead / Perform code reviews for front-end development stories.

- Work with the agile development team using Scrum or Kanban on cross-functional team setting.

- Evaluate and integrate various open-source technologies.

- Work on RFI / RFP / RFT response and get it reviewed with the Technology Director.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

The successful candidate will be an inspiring and confident team player with the following profile:

- 7+ years of industry experience.

- 5+ years of experience developing large-scale web sites (>1000 pages); experience with web content management systems required.

- Experience working with and maintaining design systems using technologies such as Storybook.

- Expert level of experience with JavaScript, Typescript, and frameworks including such as Angular, React, and Vue.

- Hands on experience with state management tools such as Redux/Mobx.

- Expert level of understanding with Node.js based tooling like Webpack, Grunt/Gulp, NPM, ExpressJS, Babel, Create React App, etc.

- Experience producing and consuming RESTful micro-services.

- Experience creating Node.js modules and scripts.

- Experience working with responsive web designs across multiple platforms.

- Experience with unit testing using frameworks such as Mocha, Chai, Enzyme, Cypress, or Jest.

- Experience with behavioral testing using frameworks such as Cucumber.

- Experience with content delivery networks and an understanding of web caching.

- Experience with at least two or more different CMS like

- Experience with at least two or more different E-Commerce platforms like Salesforce, Magento, BigCommerce, UCommerce, WooCommerce, Commercetools etc preferred.

- Experience with Jenkins and Docker a plus.

- Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams (in a consulting firm or agency preferred).

- Experience with mocking up proof-of-concepts based on wireframes.





- Ability to learn new UI technologies quickly.

- Experience with accessibility-driven design and Section 508 Compliance

- Understanding of SEO and accessibility issues as they relate to the front-end.

- Expert understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3

- Experience in hybrid mobile frameworks like Cordova, Flutter, React Native, Ionic is a PLUS.

- Experience developing on both mobile and web platforms.

- A proven track record of successful project/product implementation with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Pair programming, and Test-Driven Development.

- Knowledge in Redis, Docker, Jenkins, Teamcity, SVN, GIT, Team Foundation Server, and GIT LAB.

- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

- Fluent written and spoken language skills in English, additional SEA languages would be advantageous.
