Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to 21 million retail bank households and three million small business customers through approximately 4,500 retail branches, 17 customer service centers, and approximately 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia. Team Overview - Consumer Data and Engagement Platform (CDEP)
The CDEP group works across the Consumer & Small Business Banking (CSBB), Consumer Lending, and Wealth and Investment Management lines of business to develop coordinated strategies for growth in each of Wells Fargo's customer segments. The team is responsible for designing seamless, engaging customer experiences across products and channels, and building the next-generation digital, data and analytics, and functional capabilities required to deliver toward these objectives. The Consumer Data Products function within CDEP aims to build a solid, centralized ecosystem to support the data needs of the consumer LOBs. This includes the build out of a common data platform (Consumer Analytics Platform, a.k.a. CAP), utilities (e.g., eligibility, transactional, etc.) and analytical capabilities to enable business priorities/use cases.
In this role, you will:




The Consumer Analytics Platform (CAP)/ Data Utility Product Analyst will support specific Data Utility scrum teams and work in Partnership with respective Lead Data Analyst and Product Owners to develop and deliver the Utility's functions to meet prioritized Enterprise objectives. The Data Analysts will be responsible for defining business rules, defining data requirements for integrations and downstream data feeds required for a product eligibility, and conducting testing for those rules and integrations.
The Data Analyst will work in a highly matrixed organization with the Consumer Analytics Platform (CAP)/ Data Utility Product Owner, Lead Data Analyst, management and analyst support, and across SMEs in other CDP and CDEP Leads to provide support to the following representative tasks:

- Understanding the vision of the various data utilities, and participating in technical sessions to brainstorm how to bring that vision to life.
- Leading technical & data design sessions, working with SME's to understand and capture net recent functional and non-functional design requirements, and rules requirements.
- Identifying upstream and downstream data and integration needs, conducting detailed review of articles such as API code, data element mappings, etc. to confirm mutual understanding of both needs and potential deliverables.
- Generating (writing) and 'story pointing' user stories to capture upstream and downstream data and integration needs, and working with the Product Owner to confirm that stories are assigned to sprints in accordance with delivery expectations
- Conducting source to target mapping, conducting data lineage exercises in an environment with minimal metadata to identify root source of record and capture necessary transformation to the data from source of record to the point of presentation/consumption
- Generating and configuring Data Rules, and make Data Rules accessible in a rules library, cross referencing existing rules to generate efficiency in new product implementation
- Engaging with Wells Fargo Technology and vendor support teams on technical/support issues or questions
- Engaging with CDP peers to generate technical requirements (user stories) to support downstream data audit, analytical and reporting needs.
- Collaborating with testing leads to conduct repeatable, pattern-based testing scenarios for new product releases
- Supporting research and root cause analysis for any identified Data Utility quality and production issues
- Supporting and actively participating in Agile routines.

Required Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
- Robust SQL skills

Desired Qualifications:

- Strong LINUX/ UNIX skills
- Familiarity with BTEQ
- Familiarity with Hadoop / HDFS / Hive
- Familiarity with Hue, Dremio, or other similar data workbenches is a plus
- Familiarity with Python or a similar programming language for data analysis / data wrangling is a plus

Job Expectations:

- Prior experience developing automated Eligibility and/or Targeting platforms
- Experience with Cloud-first data architecture, such as Spring Cloud




- Prior exposure to data governance documentation and standards

- Experience with Banking, Finance, Risk, Regulatory Reporting data platforms and technologies, and experience addressing data related requirements of internal stakeholder
- Experience with Marketing, marketing suppression and traits processes, credit data, and/or eligibility pre-qualification
- Broad experience with Banking applications, products, technology architecture and systems integration experience in consumer and small business banking, consumer lending, and wealth and investment management
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills proven ability to engage and influence senior technology and business executives
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Driven, confident, organized and an accomplished problem solver
