Your reporting lines:
Reporting to a Senior Manager/ Chapter Lead Data Engineering , you will be working in an Agile environment developing the skills and expertise to achieve mastery of the role as Data Engineer within the DATOS team part of CDAO business Unit.
You will frequently be required to participate within project teams, receiving direction and support from Managers in other departments.

Our Chief Data Analytics Office (CDAO) team provides the building blocks of success with billions of data points that drives industry-leading experiences for our customers. Made up of data engineers, data architects,



insights analysts, data scientists, visualization experts, and more, the Data and Analytics business provides extensive learning and growth opportunities to every team member.
Your responsibilities:

- Develop highly reliable data pipelines and data platforms with comprehensive test coverage with limited supervision.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering
- Provide technical assistance to other members of the team.
- Participate actively in peer reviews.
- Complete data engineering duties aligned to core concepts of data design, preparation, transformation, and load.
- Good problem solving skills
- Strong SQL knowledge for various database flavor
- Strong Big data and hive experience with good command on ETL concept
- Good hands on Unix command and shell scripting
- Experience in python/ scala / Java/ Sql programming language is added advantage
- Excellent communication skills

Team responsibilities:

- Synthesise qualitative and quantitative data and facts from various sources to identify relationships and patterns, drawing logical conclusions
- Migrate ES Balance scorecard from tactical and manual data
- Leverage strategic platform(Omnia) to ensure the best data consumed once
- Connect both upstream and downstream to ensure a seamless approach
- Responsible for carrying out the activities defined as per the agreed insights
- Develop with a group mindset to support all stakeholders.

Your skills & experience:

- Strong analytical, numerate and logical reasoning skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to define strategies to improve the effectiveness of the customer contact and customer experience

- Ability to articulate complex analytical requirements and findings in common non-technical terms
- Experience of and/ or a desire to work within an Agile environment
- Flexible approach and able to deal with change and develop new ways of working to drive continuous improvement
- A good understanding of data sourcing for analytical needs through multiple tactical and strategic data sources, and supporting the data strategy of the bank
- Experience writing high quality, maintainable SQL on large datasets.
- Min. Undergraduate technical degree B.E. or B.Tech. or equivalent or post-graduation degree in Computer Applications or IT with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Desirable - Exposure/Experience in Big data Technologies (hadoop, spark, etc.).
