1. Strong expertise in Desktop Underwriting (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP)
2. In -depth knowledge of Conventional, FHA, and VA loan guidelines
3. Excellent analytical skills in assessing income, employment, assets, credit, DTI, and LTV
4. Ability to render final underwriting decisions within lending authority
5. Robust understanding of Investor, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and regulatory guidelines
6. Experience reviewing appraisals, title commitments, legal documents, and mortgage insurance (MI) requirementsGood Have Skills :
1. Experience with condition clearance and final Clear to Close (CTC)
2. Knowledge of secondary mortgage market and investor overlays
3. Strong attention to detail and defect identificationRoles and Responsibilities :
1. Underwrite residential mortgage loan applications to maximize profitability while minimizing risk
2. Analyze borrower income, employment, assets, credit history, and collateral to determine loan eligibility
3.



Review and validate all loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
4. Render final underwriting decisions within assigned lending authority; escalate loans exceeding authority
5. Review and clear underwriting conditions and issue final CTC in a timely manner
6. Ensure compliance with Investor, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and government agency guidelines
7. Identify, cite, and track defects or deficiencies in loan files
8. Verify source of down payment, reserves, appraisal value, and title commitments
9. Review legal documents, when applicable, for accuracy and completeness
10. Identify mortgage insurance requirements and ensure adherence to MI guidelines
11. Proactively manage loan pipeline and support timely loan closingsLocation :
