This is a hybrid role. At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting loans in accordance with the company’s policy and risk appetite while maintaining focus on risk tolerance, growth, and profitability objectives. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, sound judgment and attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex information to assess credit risk,



create appropriate loan structures, and ensure
compliance with applicable regulations, credit policy/ procedures, in an effort to mitigate loss, delinquency and overall risk.

What you'll do

Underwrite Small business loan applications in accordance to company’s policy and procedures
Analyze application data including financial statements, bank statements, tax returns and business and personal credit reports
Determine Credit worthiness and structure loans within established guidelines and expectations
Additional tasks and projects as assigned by manager

What we look for

Small Business Lending experience required, solid credit fundamentals in a commercial environment. Formal credit training a plus
2+ years of Underwriting experience working in a Commercial underwriting role at a FinTech/bank/financial institution
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred
Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
Detail oriented individual with strong analytical skills
