We are looking for an experienced Property Management Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting and financial reporting for a UK real estate portfolio. The role focuses on rent accounting, management reporting, variance analysis, and supporting commercial decision-making, particularly within student accommodation or residential assets.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage rent collection, reconciliation, arrears tracking, and deferred rent schedules.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for property portfolios.
- Perform detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, with explicit financial commentary.
- Conduct financial and commercial analysis to support asset and portfolio performance.
- Partner with commercial and operations teams to enable informed strategic decisions.
- Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Perform daily, weekly,



and monthly bank reconciliations for property-related accounts.
- Post accurate journals, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
- Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate financial information.
- Track, update, and report KPIs, delivering actionable insights to management.

Required Skills & Experience

- Qualified or part-qualified CA / ACCA.
- Experience in UK property or real estate accounting.
- Strong understanding of management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Hands-on experience with property management systems such as Yardi or RealPage.
- Exposure to student accommodation / PBSA accounting is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
