A senior professional with strong Teamcenter expertise who is interested in developing documentation to help customers maximize their use of Teamcenter. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced PLM and Teamcenter practitioners to transition into information development and technical communication. The role requires a deep understanding of PDM, PLM, and Teamcenter, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and capabilities to users. The position demands a strong knowledge of customer business challenges and how Teamcenter and other Siemens software solutions can effectively address them.

The role is part of an information development team, reporting to an Information Development Manager, and requires minimal supervision while participating in or driving strategic documentation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Analyze and articulate customer business needs and how Teamcenter and other Siemens software solutions can address them

Apply industry-specific PDM and PLM best practices from Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, or other manufacturing sectors to documentation development

Understand and explain how various BOMs — including engineering, design, manufacturing, and process BOMs — mature and evolve throughout the product lifecycle

Analyze and articulate complex technical concepts and customer business scenarios

Transform technical capabilities into clear, accessible documentation that enables customer success

Learn and apply documentation best practices to design user-centered, solution-oriented content

Develop realistic, industry-relevant examples and test data for documentation

Collaborate extensively with customers, product managers,



and Teamcenter subject matter experts to validate documentation accuracy, understand emerging customer needs, and refine user assistance strategies

Use content development tools to create documentation solutions (training provided as needed)

Mentor other information developers by sharing knowledge around PLM business processes, complex Teamcenter deployment scenarios, industry best practices, and advanced Teamcenter configuration and customization techniques

Continuously expand technical expertise across PLM, Siemens software solutions, and information development

Required Skills and Experience

Teamcenter Expertise: 10+ years of experience working with or consulting on Teamcenter in customer-facing scenarios

PDM/PLM Knowledge: Deep understanding of PDM and PLM principles — including BOM evolution from design and engineering to production — and how they solve customer business problems

Industry Experience: Familiarity with PDM and PLM best practices in Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, or other manufacturing industries

Technical Communication: Interest in and aptitude for explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Prior documentation experience is valuable but not required for candidates with solid PLM expertise

Problem-Solving Skills: Aptitude for strategic thinking and analyzing customer pain points to provide targeted solutions

Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively

Research and Interviewing: Strong skills in gathering information through research and interviews with stakeholders
