We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Design Engineer to lead the end-to-end design and development of new mechanical products, with a focus on products incorporating electrical and water-based hydraulic components. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in new product development (NPD), value engineering, and a deep understanding of engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently conceptualize, design, and prototype new mechanical products through to production-ready stage.
- Integrate electrical and hydraulic functionalities into mechanical product designs.
- Drive new product development (NPD) initiatives, ensuring timely execution and production readiness.
- Conduct value engineering to optimize product cost, functionality, and manufacturability.
- Apply and adhere to international and national engineering standards (e.g., IS, ASTM, ANSI, BS).
- Customize product configurations based on client requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Collaborate with factory development teams for experimentation, design validation, and necessary modifications.
- Coordinate with the QA team to resolve quality issues related to recent product designs.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong background in mechanical product design with electrical and hydraulic elements.
- Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD).
- Proficient in value engineering practices.
- Thorough knowledge of standards such as IS, ASTM, ANSI, BS, etc.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
