The primary responsibility of this position is to verify that
quality is being maintained throughout the assembly and test process
of Raw material and performing wet testing.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Raw Material Testing
Sample Collection.
- After receipt of GRIN, inform to lab assistant for
collection of samples.
- Prepare
Label based on GRIN.
- Ensure the collected samples
meets as per GRIN.
Wet Testing.
- Prepare chemicals and instruments for wet
testing.
- Perform wet testing of the received
raw material as per defined SOP for the respective
material.
- Prepare the reports based on the test
results.
- Ensure submission of test reports within 3
days of performing the test
Inventory Management
1. Prepare monthly chemical (Raw material for testing)
allocation plan and allocate the resources as per
plan
2. Monitor and maintain the minimum stock of
required resources.
3. Raise indent for procurement of
required chemicals on timely basis.
Upkeep of Lab Equipment’s & Instruments
1. Prepare annual calibration schedule of all
Equipment’s & Instruments used in chemical
lab.
2. If any deviation found in any Equipment /
Instruments test results, check for calibration need.
3. Coordinate with Mechanical lab for due calibration of
Equipment’s & Instruments as per due date.
4. Maintain records/certificate of calibration Equipment’s &
Instruments wise.
Spectro Analysis / Testing
1. Ensuring timely collection of samples from welding
lab.
2. Coordinate with maintenance team in
R&D; lab for machining & polishing of sample
pads.
3. Prepare OES (Optical Emission Spectrometer) for
Spectro Analysis.
4. Perform Spectro Analysis through
OES.
5. Arrange analysis reports in system folders for
respective unit’s date wise.
NABL Activities
1. Review wet testing SOPs time to time and if there
are any changes in SOP update them.
2. Adhere to the NABL scope and inform timely for any updation in
the testing standards.
3. Ensure all Instruments /
Equipment’s are calibrated as per NABL guidelines.
4. Maintain Temperature records.
5. Maintain NABL Documents.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. with Specialization in
Chemistry
Work Experience: 1 – 5 Years into
Quality Control.
- Positive understanding of quality management practices.
- Good understanding of various chemical / wet testing
methodologies.
Good Analytical Skills & Analysis ability.
