The Senior Accountant handles accounting services at a corporate level . He is responsible for the maintenance and close-out of the general ledger, fixed assets, receivables, payables and payroll accounts at a corporate level.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and financial records.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and vendor payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliances.
- Assist in tax audits and statutory audits.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors.
Overall Experience Required to Execute this Role
- 6+ years of experience in an accounting function
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Master’s Degree in Finance is an advantage
Core Competencies
- Solid knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Financial Reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime and SAP.
- Experience in account reconciliations, auditing, and statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
